Miscellaneous Channels American sizes
MC-Channels is the short form for a further group of channel sections. They are produced with parallel flanges with tolerances according to ASTM A 484, the laser fused execution has additionally the product standard defined by ASTM A1069.
In contrast to the BC-Channels series, flanges and webs often have a different material thickness. The flanges are generally thicker compared to the webs, thus higher static values – with equal profile height – are achieved than with the BC-Channels. In addition channels with parallel flanges are much easier to assemble as no conical flat washer have to be used to compensate the natural conicity of the C-Channel’s flanges.
