A press-braked angle produces an internal corner radius that is typically at least equal to the material thickness, meaning a 12 mm leg would carry an internal radius of 12 mm or more, which does not meet the 2 mm requirement. A hot-rolled angle has a similar limitation driven by the rolling process. Only laser welding two flat plates at 90 degrees produces the sub-2 mm internal corner consistently and without post-process machining. For a rail and linear guide application where the profile geometry interfaces with a runner or carriage, the corner geometry is a functional dimension and not just an aesthetic preference: a larger-than-specified radius changes the fit of the assembly.
